Slowing down is a relative term. A lot of times we approach weight loss with desperation. Living in a society that promotes ‘microwave oven mentality’ we like quick service, instant food, and fast results.
Our frustration is understandable when the internet is moving slower, however, there are things that can’t be rushed in order to get the best quality. Health is one of them. Trying to run 5 kms on day-one can frustrate us and leave our body sore. Starving ourself may look glamorous on social media but will ultimately leave us weak.
Weight loss is a project. Don’t confuse it with an activity. For any project two most important things are ‘method’ and consistency. A lot of times we may have to slow down and assess our method and result; and that is ok.
Your speed does not matter, forward is forward.
